These steps have been taken pursuant to a policy decision taken following a meeting prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had with the unemployed graduates’ association on December 05.
A four-ministerial committee, headed by state minister Niroshan Perera, has been appointed to deal with this matter.
A meeting will take place at the prime minister’s office on December 28 to discuss the committee’s recommendations, the ministry said.
Accordingly, basic solutions to the issues of unemployed graduates could be given during the first quarter of 2016, it added.
