Investigations have revealed that CCTV footage related to the abduction and murder of Thajudeen in 2012, have been deleted.

Police say that they are facing severe inconveniences as proper investigations were not held back then.

CCTV footage obtained from cameras installed in the Colombo suburbs are not kept for a period of three years but are deleted after a short span of time. Police are now attempting to retrieve the deleted footage.
