Bandula Gunawardena and Dullas Alahapperuma too, have been approached by several top government figures for their possible crossovers, according to reports.

The deputy ministerial positions that presently remain vacant are provincial councils and local government, education, disaster management, law and order and prison reforms, telecommunication and digital infrastructure development, and primary industries.
