Anti-corruption probe against Anusha

Anti-corruption probe against Anusha Featured

Sri Lanka Cricket anti-corruption manager Lakshman de Silva is investigating coach Anusha Samaranayake, according to reports reaching Sri Lanka Mirror.

Samaranayake is under probe for having taken a group of actresses, including Nethu Priyangika, to the playing area during the final T20 game against West Indies at R. Premadasa Stadium.

Also, there have been media reports that he had been involved in a foreign currency fraud during his return from India, to where he took a group to watch the IPL final between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

Involved in the journey were an actress and a model, media reported.

Meanwhile, de Silva has submitted a report into an incident in Dambulla during the 2010 Indian tour of Sri Lanka, in which a woman had stayed in the room of Suresh Raina until around 4.00 am.

That report had been swept under the carpet by the then SLC secretary Nishantha Ranatunga, according to reports.

The Raina incident was also investigated by the judge Mukul Mudgal committee that was appointed to probe IPL match fixing in 2013.

That committee has alleged SLC had not cooperated in the investigation.
