UNP national list MP Prof. Chandrajith Ashubodha Marasinghe revealed this in parliament yesterday (30).

He said that the buses had been bought from Ashok Leyland at 40,000 dollars each which is also the showroom price, although with the cost of insurance and freight altogether each cost only 30,000 dollars.

The government has paid 10,000 dollars more for each of these 2,200 buses, and to whose account this Rs. 3,080 million had gone? he asked.
