"The crisis has deepened. Only three quarters of the ministerial posts (apart from the Chief minister) have been appointed at the present. The Agriculture ministerial portfolio is among the pending appointments," he said.

"Despite Uva province being an agricultural area, the crash for ministerial positions has crippled all functions of the provincial Agriculture ministry," he added.
