Minister of Foreign Employment Thalatha Athukorala today (23) said that the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment had spent 140 million rupees on advertising pertaining to the campaign of United People’s Freedom Alliance Presidential election candidate - Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The minister was responding parliament to a question raised by JVP MP Sunil Handunnetthi.
The bureau had also spent 9.1 million on election rallies, 3.5 million rupees on religious activities and 20 million rupees on paying building taxes, the minister added.
