'In the days when minister Senaratne was a consultant to the Health Advisory Committee, the judiciary found him guilty of supplying expired and substandard drugs to the tri-forces and the Osu Sala. As a result, he lost his MP seat,' minister Rajapakshe said.
The case was filed by Dilan Perera, a deputy minister of the then government and Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, PC appeared on behalf of the plaintiff.
Minister Rajapakshe added that the first and only MP in Sri Lanka who lost his MP seat over such charges is now raising false accusations against him over the Avant Garde issue.
