The National Police Commission is today (09) recording eyewitness accounts of the recent police attack on protesting HNDA students.

Students, members of the media as well as the general public can come forward to give evidence at the NPC head office, said commission secretary Ariyadasa Cooray.

Meanwhile, the IUSF says student activists have been asked to be present today before a committee appointed by the higher education ministry to investigate the incident.

Five students and a policeman were hospitalized following a teargas and water cannon attack by the police on HNDA students who were staging a protest in front of the UGC on October 29.
