The Bureau notes that the main unit for Signing Service Agreements in Thalahena and all units in operation at the District and Provincial Migrant Resource Centres will be closed down accordingly.

These agreements, which were signed off before an officer of the bureau, will now be done between the respective worker and the job agency, the Bureau adds.

However, according to the bureau, the service agreement law which is taken into consideration when leaving abroad, is still in force. This measure is said to have been taken after taking into consideration the various inconveniences faced by the workers.
