A top defence official has summoned a police chief and told him to carry out the investigations without making any effect in the military.

When the abduction case filed by Sandya Ekneligoda was called before Homagama magistrate Y.R.B. Nelundeniya yesterday (29), senior state counsel Dileepa Peiris said Dialog and the Army were not cooperating with the CID investigations.

On a request by the CID and the Attorney General’s Department, the magistrate issued notice on Dialog legal manager Premasiri Ratnayake to appear before the court.
