M.M. Suhair, sacked as director general of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission on instructions by president Maithripala Sirisena, has committed numerous irregularities.

The main among them is in the issuance of rural frequencies for leading media institutions.

Temple Trees sources say an investigation will be held, while the frequencies already given will be suspended.

Suhair was removed after he allocated Rs. 07 million of TRC money to produce a film.
