A young man working at the operational office for the presidential election, headed by Minister of Economic Development - Basil Rajapaksa, has reportedly asked minister Maithripala Sirisena the number of electric posts that were present in the latter's home area of Polonnaruwa.
Upon being inquired of the reason behind this bizarre question, the young man has replied it was to ascertain the volume of campaigning posters required to be sent to the area.
Minister Sirisena has mentioned the incident during the SLFP Central Committee meeting last night (19), severely criticising the elections operations office, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' further learns.
