Chairman of the presidential commission Maxwell Paranagama said a team has been appointed to investigate these cases and to make further inquiries into those which have already been investigated.

Term of the commission has been extended until 15 February 2016, with two new commissioners appointed, which will enable the completion of the outstanding workload, he said.

On the advice of the president, a team of retired policemen, headed by an ex-judge, will make further investigations into the cases that have already been investigated, he said.
