October 2 marked the start of Daan Utsav, formerly called the Joy of Giving Week, and will end on October 8. Started in 2009, Daan Utsav celebrates philanthropy and encourages people to give to others.

But what is it that you give? You could give money, yes, but also your time and attention, your kindness and affection. That's really what Daan Utsav is about.
