They were released on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 each and three sureties amounting to Rs. 01 million each.

They had faced charges on spending Rs. 600 million to distribute ‘sil’ robes during the previous Presidential election.

The case was taken up by Colombo High Court judge - Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena today (07).
