This programme will be launched from Kilinochchi, and expanded to other parts of the country with the aim of cultivating all possible food crops in the country.

On the occasion, 613 acres of land acquired by the Army in Kilinochchi and Mullativu were returned to their original settlers.

President Sirisena marked the commencement of the programme by switching on a paddy planting machine at the Iranamadu paddy field.
