He will begin his visit to Japan on October 02, joined by foreign affairs minister Mangala Samaraweera, who is presently in the US with the president.
Sri Lanka will also sign agreements with Japan to obtain know-how in computer and mobile phone technologies, through the telecommunications ministry of Harin Fernando.
Opportunities for training at Japanese technological institutions too, will be secured for Lankan youths, said a senior government spokesman.
