A room of 'Senehasa’ children’s home at Matha Road, Narahenpita which was inspected by a Special Intelligence Unit this morning (14) has been sealed, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns through reliable sources.
The inspection was done on the orders of the Army commander Major General Krishantha de Silva, reports add.
The children’s home became the centre of controversy after weekend publication 'Sath Handa' claimed that several children in the care of Sri Lanka Ranaviru Seva Authority-run ‘Senehasa’ children’s home have been sexually abused by Army personnel.
It has been reported that disabled Major Ebawa is serving as the head of the institute and the Army Seva Vanitha Unit is involved in the administration of the teachers.
