The JVP has decided to appoint Bimal Ratnayake to the national list MP position that fell vacant following the resignation of Sarath Mayadunne.
Ratnayake will take oaths soon, said JVP secretary Tilvyn Silva.
 
Ratnayake contested the parliamentary polls from Gampaha district.
 
Mayadunne resigned yesterday (03) after making a special statement in parliament.
