They are to be questioned over the non-charging of Rs. 115 million due for the telecast of Mahinda Rajapaksa’s propaganda advertisements at the presidential election and other irregularities.
These officials are yet to respond to questions over the return of Rs. 89 million paid by Maithripala Sirisena for his advertisements, none of which had been telecast.
They will also be asked as to why they had mentioned very low rates for Rajapaksa’s advertisements, while charging several times more from Sirisena.
On a complaint by the public, the commission has completed preliminary invstigations and will question the officials concerned, said its secretary Lasil de Silva.
