Lieutenant Colonel Kumara Rathnayaka, Lieutenant Colonel Siriwardhana, Staff Sergeant Rajapaksa and Corporal Jayalth has thus been subjected to the detention.

While participating in a media briefing of Free Media Movement yesterday (27) the wife of Eknaligoda, Sandhya Ekneligoda alleged the government for not issuing the detention order.

She has requested assistance from the United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal and diplomats attached to the US Embassy to reveal the truth regarding her husband's disappearance.

At a meeting held at the US embassy on Wednesday (26) she has made the particular request from U.S.Ambassador to Sri Lanka Atul Keshap, Nisha Biswal and a group of diplomats attached to the US Embassy.

Sandhya Eknaligoda at the meeting has stated that following the election of President Maithripala Sirisena thorough investigations were launched regarding the disappearance of Prageeth Eknaligoda and that the IGP has requested another month's time to investigate it.
