Speaking to the media, UNP general secretary Kabir Hashim said that would not be a problem for his party.

His remark comes as leaders of the UNP and the SLFP have failed to reach agreement, during several rounds of talks today and yesterday, with regard to the allocation of ministerial positions in a national government.

SLFP seniors are unhappy over an offer for them to accept second string ministerial positions, while the UNP retains all the key portfolios.
