The Thera explained to the PM that the third revolution would be to provide relief to farmers and to expedite rural development.

Visiting Kandy to pay homage at Sri Dalada Maligawa, the premier then called on Asgiriya Mahanayake Most Ven. Galagama Sri Attadassi Thera and received his blessings.

Later, he called on Sumangala Mahanayake Thera, who said his appointment as the PM for a fourth time was a good fortune for the country.

His union with president Maithripala Sirisena would favour the country’s development as they are like-minded leaders, said the Thera.

Malik Samarawickrama, Lakshman Kiriella, Rauff Hakeem and Wasantha Aluvihare also attended the occasion.
