The SLFP central committee that meets this afternoon (20) is to adopt the relevant set of proposals.

This government will not be named as national, because ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa had ruled out one, and also in view of the legal hurdles in the 19th amendment.

Other parties of the UPFA, including NFF’s Wimal Weerawansa, will not be party to this government.

SLFP strongman Dullas Alahapperuma agreed to this only this morning, accoding to reports.

Key figures behind this idea are Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Susil Premajayantha, while the SLFP CC has appointed a five-member committee headed by ex-president Chandrika Kumaratunga, proposed by Duminda Dissanayake, to prepare the relevant proposals.

Meanwhile, Champika Ranawaka, who contested under the UNF, has refused to agree to a government of integration.
