Susil unlikely to vote!

Susil Premajayantha and Anura Priyadarshanaya Yapa, who have been sacked by the president from their SLFP membership and other positions, are unlikely to vote at today’s general election, reports say.

That is because fiscal officers have stationed themselves in front of their homes and at their respective polling centres to hand them over a court order.

The Colombo district court issued the interim injunction, effective until August 28, allowing Duminda Dissanayake and Prof. Vishwa Warnapala to carry out their functions as the acting general secretaries of the SLFP and UPFA respectively without any let or hindrance.

When contacted, Yapa told Sri Lanka Mirror that he would go to vote, and if given he would accept the court order from the fiscal officer.

Attempts to reach Premajayantha were unsuccessful.
