SMS service to complain breach of election laws

A SMS number has been introduced for public to complain any breach of elections laws.

Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya said SMS should be sent to 2343 by typing: EC (space) EV (space) District Concerned (space) complaint.

He said that SMS complaints could be sent to him starting from today (August 15) until the release of election results conclude on August 18.

Campaigning activities for the Monday (August 17) General election concluded at midnight yesterday.
