The two men had taken Ekneligoda to Minneriya Army camp, where they handed him over to two colonels.
These two colonels are to be arrested today, said the sources.
The abductors had taken their final call at Bakamuna from the phone they had used during the abduction.
Circumstances of Ekneligoda’s abduction will come to light within the next few weeks.
The covered up police investigations into the incident have now resumed.
