The North East disappeared persons' parents' association has stated that they will not vote for any candidate at the forthcoming general election as no solution has been provided so far with regard to their missing relatives.

They have stated thus while engaging in a fast in front of the Visvanatha Swamy Sivan temple at Trincomalee today (04).

The people who represented all districts in North East stated that no solution has been provided to their issues so far and specially the Tamil politicians have deceived them.

The president of Trincomalee disappeared persons' parents' association Sebastian Devika has stated that despite many attempts made for several years regarding the disappearances they have not been given a solution to this date.

“Last time they took the votes and left saying that they will find the children, but did not return. There are no solutions for our issues. Therefore we are not casting our votes this time", they said.
