All candidates of Jana Setha Peramuna have declared assets while 261 out of 262 candidates representing Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna(JVP) have declared assets.

From 262 candidates of United National Party (UNP) 232 have declared assets and from 262 candidates of United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) 220 have submitted the relevant reports.

Out of 235 candidates contesting under Democratic Party ticket 185 have declared assets.

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) is to present 44 contestants in the election from whom 27 have declared assets.

106 candidates out of 201 contesting under Bodu Jana Peramuna ticket have declared assets while the number of candidates who have declared assets from Frontline Socialist Party is 136 out of 262 party candidates.

The closing date for asset declaration for the candidates of forthcoming general election has been postponed until August 5.

It has been stated that those who do not declare the assets will not be provided with candidate's identity card.
