Candidates warned not to disturb A/L exam Featured

Commissioner General of the Examinations Department have urged election candidates not to disturb students sitting for the 2015 GCE A/L examination, which will commence from August 04.

Commissioner General of Examinations, W.M.N.J Pushpakumara has said that political rallies, meetings as well as the use of loudspeakers around areas near examination centres are strictly prohibited while the exam is underway.

Invigilator heads as well as the police have been briefed on this regard, he added.

He also says that any complaints with regard to the exam can be reported to the Department hotline 1911.

This year, 309,069 candidates are sitting for the GCE A/L examinations at 2180 examination halls. 227 special needs children are also sitting for the exam.

The initial phase of the examination will be held from August 04 -13. After the General election, the second phase of the election will be held from August 24 - September 08.
