He has said that such a politician in Dehiwala has vowed to assault him after the election.

Mr. Perera made this revelation during a media briefing yesterday (30).

"A goon in Dehiwala who is contesting the election has vowed to assault me after the election. I feel sorry for the public, not for this person. It is you the public who elected these people. I ask the voters... Can you always do this for gains? Can you watch such goons assault us? Don't be sorry after they assault us..."

Strongly saying no to this thug-like political trend in Sri Lanka, Mr. Perera urged the public to vote for respectable and educated candidates.
