Eksath Lanka Kala Karuwo says their colleagues who had held important government positions in the past had not paid any attention to their grievances.

Holding a media briefing at Janaki Hotel yesterday (30), they identified their key demands, and said they would pressurize the government to fulfill them.

Their demands include the setting up of an international level cinema university, digitization of film halls, establishing an institute to standardize tele dramas, insurance and pension coverage for artistes, opening district level theatres and institutes of arts, implementation of the intellectual property act and cinema and television education from school to university levels.
