The manifesto of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) for the 2015 General Election has been presented to President Maithripala Sirisena this morning by a group of party leaders at the President's official residence in Colombo.

Leader of the Mahajana Eksath Peramuna (MEP) Dinesh Gunawardena, UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha and SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa were present on the occasion.  

The launching of the manifesto is currently underway at Henry Pedris Ground, Colombo under the auspices of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and other UPFA candidates contesting the August 17 parliamentary polls.
