The woman is the wife of a wealthy businessman, who had abandoned her, and removed her from his businesses, including signing cheques.

Claiming the woman to be a sister of his, the minister has sent her to meet the BoC chairman last week, and also pressurized him to suspend the issuance of cheques from an account being held by the businessman.
