Mr. Perera was among the astrologers who predicted Mr. Rajapaksa's defeat at the January Presidential election.

He also predicted that Sarath Fonseka would be defeated at the 2010 Presidential polls and would end up in prison. Those who imprisoned Fonseka would release him later, Mr. Perera has said.

He further predicted that all benefits Fonseka lost would be restored to him by 2015 April. On March 2015 Fonseka was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and and all benefits he was stripped of, including the pension, were restored.

Definiate defeat for UPFA

Speaking with the 'Lankadeepa' newspaper, Mr. Perera has said that the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) would face a definite defeat at the upcoming Gen. Election.

He has said that the United National Party would set up a government together with several other political parties and that several UPFA bigwigs including one representing the Colombo would be defeated.

The power of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna would be strengthened at the election, he has added.
