Poster-removing police team in road mishap

A team deployed by the Bakamoona police has met with an accident while on duty to remove election posters, reports say.

The jeep they had been travelling in had collided with a tipper injuring 03 policemen and 02 civilians.

One police officer is being treated at the Polonnaruwa Base Hospital while the other 02 policemen and the 02 civilians are being treated at the Bakamoona Hospital.
