The absence of investigations into the murder of Lasantha Wickrematunga and disappearance of Prageeth Ekneligoda gives rise to doubts that those responsible have joined the ‘Yama Palanaya’, says UPFA candidate Udaya Gammanpila.
He said his hopes for a probe and the arrest of the suspects for these two incidents after the formation of the new government were dashed.
At a media briefing at the opposition leader’s office yesterday (21), he said a government by them would appoint independent commissions to investigate these incidents.
