12-point agreement
All parties contesting under the new front have reached a 12-point agreement, including contesting the upcoming polls under the UNP’s ‘elephant’ symbol.
Accordingly, Senaratne will contest from Kalutara, Arjuna from Gampaha and Ranawaka from Colombo.
Senaratne told the media that several leftist groups and 49 civil society organizations that had supported Maithripala Sirisena at the presidential election, have also joined the new front.
