The weekend national newspaper hit newsstands yesterday with its banner headline ‘Mervyn in Maithri meditation in Ritigala forest’.

The controversial ex-minister is so meditating for a commercial advertisement for ‘Sathhanda’, which is his first time.

Published by Sathhanda Publishers, editor of the new newspaper is Vanguard Party leader Deepthi Kumara Gunaratne.

Prabhath Weeraratne is the deputy editor, while Subhash Jayawardena serves as the news editor and Wimal Ketipearachchi as the features editor.

Editor of its ‘Kedella’ supplement is Shantha Bandara Jayawardena, while Sanjaka Prasad Dolawatte edits ‘Like’ supplement for youths.

Web editor of ‘Sathhanda’ is Sanjaya Liyanage, who is also the business editor of the newspaper.
