Culture ministry chairperson sends staff for private clinic Featured

The chairperson of Construction Company (Pvt.) Ltd., owned by the State Ministry of Culture, has sent seven employees of the company to work at a medical clinic on a personal need of her, according to reports reaching Sri Lanka Mirror.

The group of employees had left the ministry for the private clinic on Mitsubishi van bearing no: WP GZ – 3149, rented by the ministry (picture shows the van leaving the ministry).

The medical clinic was organized by ports and shipping minister Arjuna Ranatunga, who is a close friend of the company chairperson.

The state minister for culture was Nandimitra Ekanayake and after parliament was dissolved on June 26, the ministry functions under prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
