The two main political parties of the country have decided that nominations for the next General election would not be granted to individuals facing charges including corruption.

Sri Lanka Freedom Party chairman - President Maithripala Sirisena has emphasised this factor before the nomination Board of the party.

Earlier, speaking during a meeting with electorate organisers at the party headquarters - Sirikotha, UNP leader and Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has also emphasised the same fact.
