The event will be held under the slogan 'Owhu Obata Aseemithawa Prema Kalaha' (loosely translating into 'They loved you immensely')

The event will commemorate the student heroes who sacrificed their life while being active in the students' movement to secure free education and a better future.

A cultural event and an exhibition on the history of the Students' Movement will also be held parallel to the main event.
