Here, the PM promised to provide speedy solutions to problems faced by web journalists.

He requested them to submit a detailed report into their requests, as there is no mechanism in place to inquire into them.

Once that report is made available, a committee will be appointed to provide solutions, said the premier.

He also pledged to grant web journalists the same facilities given to other journalists.

The PM added the new government that will be elected at the upcoming election will formulate a new constitution, under which proposals will be made to grant further freedom to the media.

He asked the delegation to provide him another report, when requested to look into the possibility of granting compensation to media institutions and journalists who had been harassed by the previous regime.
