These fugitives include 124 prisoners and 31 suspects who were held in custody.

The figures were revealed in a Task Force report of the Prisons Department.

From these figures, 19 prisoners and 04 suspects have been arrested yet again.

Meanwhile, 51 prisoners and 52 suspects have been found dead while in remand custody during the year 2014.

Reports also say that the total number of persons held as prisoners and suspects last year stands at 116,650.
