Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa has confirmed that a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been handed over to him.

Meanwhile. MP Janaka Wakkumbura said that the notion was handed over to the Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake around 2.30pm.

The no-confidence motion, signed by 112 MPs were handed over by MPs Bandula Gunewardena, M.L.A.M. Hizbullah, Y.I. Padmasiri, Weerakumara Dissanayake, Ranjith Soyza and Manusha Nanayakkara, reports say.
