Meeting at the president’s residence on June 03, several SLFP ministers strongly criticised both Premajayantha and Yapa for their remarks over the booklet released by the SLFP media unit titled ‘Mey Gena Hithanna – Pakshaya Rekaganna’.

They also discussed the state intelligence reports regarding the two.

The booklet in question was issued to the media by MP Thilanga Sumathipala at a media briefing.

Premajayantha, addressing the same media briefing said he was not aware of the booklet and described it as a rag.

Sumathipala said it was issued with the knowledge of Yapa, who however told the media on the following day that he didn’t know about it.

Upon making inquiries, SLM found that minister S.B. Dissanayake has written the booklet to promote the image of Mr. Sirisena, and that it was published by Sumathipala with the knowledge of the president.
