Speaking at a function in Kandy yesterday (30), she said this was not a serious issue, as the party had faced several such situations in the past.

She also commented on people who were taking the SLFP to ruin, such as drug traffickers and illicit liquor racketeers who are in parliament on the party’s ticket.

They should either correct themselves and respect the party decisions, or else they could do anything they wish, she said.

Had the government not changed on January 08, the country would have been in a grave risk of a massive bloodshed within a year, she added.
