He was speaking at a media briefing held at the Abhayaramaya Temple today (25).

He said that an UPFA Prime minister would definitely be appointed before parliament is dissolved.

He also hoped that this would be taken up for debate soon.

Gunewardana added that the individual who will be named as Prime minister would be revealed only if President Maithripala Sirisena agrees to the proposal to establish an UPFA government before the General election.
