The Avant Garde Maritime Services has send two Letters Of Demand (LOD) to Captain Udaya Dissanayake for allegedly making defamatory statements to New First of Sirasa TV and to the article 'Avant Garde Uncovered' which was published in the state owned newspaper 'Sunday Observer'.
The Avant Garde demands a sum of Rs 5 billion each from the two reports as well as the cost of the LOD which amounts to Rs.10,500.
The amount is to be paid within 14 days upon receiving the LOD.
